Our experience is that the combination of service training and a can do attitude, along with a disciplined personality makes for highly successful Cycle Technicians.

Founded in 2007, Cycle Tech UK is the largest national network of mobile Cycle Technicians. Operating from large mobile workshops, visiting customers’ homes or places of work, Cycle Tech UK Technicians provide repairs to all makes and types of bicycles; a wide range of parts and accessories, and service and maintenance. Many also sell cycles direct to customers.

Tapping into the UK’s growing enthusiasm for cycling in all of its forms, Cycle Tech’s expert Technicians work for themselves but with the support and business smarts that only a national network can provide.

Cycle Tech UK provides you with the necessary trade contacts; website, expert business set-up help and on-going support as your business grows. This unique combination of independence and network membership reduces the risks involved in starting your own business and allows you to get up and running, and earning, much more quickly than you would be starting from scratch.

All Cycle Tech UK Technicians complete the nationally training to a minimum of Level 2. And continue beyond as their business grows.

A series of exams testing knowledge of all aspects of cycle repairs. The training is organised through the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT), a body committed to encouraging high standards in bike repair and maintenance throughout the country.

City & Guilds National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) demonstrate an individual's true skill and is highly recognised qualification.

Buying a used bicycle
By martin wilkins October 30, 2019
When looking for a bargain, it is likely these days that you will turn to eBay for a second-hand bike. While there are bargains to be had, when buying a second-hand bike, you need to be careful, because you may have a large repair bill to go with the bargain price. Even if the person is not intending to be dishonest, their idea of the perfect condition may mean clean but worn out. In recent weeks two of our repairers have given out bills of well over £100 to make a bike usable, even though they were described as "good as new".
